Leadership Transition at the Minnesota Rural Health Association
After eight years of dedicated service, Mark Jones will be stepping down from his role as Executive Director of the Minnesota Rural Health Association on May 31st.
During his tenure, Mark provided steady and thoughtful leadership, helping to advance rural health priorities, strengthen partnerships across the state, and elevate the voices of rural communities. His commitment to MRHA’s mission and to its members has made a lasting and meaningful impact.
In reflecting on his time with the organization, Mark shared his deep appreciation for the members, partners, and leaders who contribute to the strength of Minnesota’s rural health community. The relationships built and the shared commitment to improving rural health remain a defining part of his service.
The MRHA Board of Directors has named Kap Wilkes as Interim Executive Director, effective June 1st. Kap brings valuable experience and a strong understanding of the organization’s work, and will partner closely with the Board to ensure continuity during this transition while a search process is conducted.
MRHA thanks Mark for his leadership and service over the past eight years and looks forward to continued progress in strengthening rural health across Minnesota.
